Relationships are the essence of any Indian festival! Every occasion brings the family close and holds it together.

RAKSHA-BANDHAN ( bond of protection)- the thread of unconditional love, affection and care! An ancient festival celebrating the sacred feeling of the pure relationship between brother and sister!

RAKSHA(Meaning: protection) BANDHAN(Meaning: bond)  is celebrated as 'Rakhi-Purnima' all over India on full moon day of Hindu calender month 'Shravana'. Come what may, all brothers and sisters try to reach out and meet each other for a family get together on this auspicious day.

After 'aarti' sister ties the 'RAKHI' on brother's wrist and prays for his well being and long life. In turn, brother wishes her the same, all good life, good luck and pledge to take care of her and protect her under all circumstances till his last breath. Gifts, sweets are then exchanged amongst these siblings as a token of love and affection.

Rituals may defer but the sentiments attached to this festival can neither be calculated nor described in mere words! Rakhi- though a simple and delicate embellished thread- has inherent power to pull the siblings an in turn their family together forever!

Destroyer of all sin, may this divine bond of RAKHI protect all my brothers and sisters across the globe from evils of the world.

You need not be an Indian to celebrate your deep emotional bond. Just needed is love for your sibling! Join me, send a rakhi with a matching note card to your loving brother!
Handmade by me, reasonable rate, accompanying matching note card to convey your feelings to him!

I feel proud to share that, thousands of sisters all over India send 'RAKHI' to our soldiers as they protect us! We do not know their names, religion but they are our brothers fighting for us when we are celebrating, watching the boundaries when we are asleep, sacrificing their lives for our peaceful tomorrow!
