I could not draw a bigger Rangoli as I always do because of severe summer. Just managed a small floral motif with colors. naaaaaa.... not of my type.... but ok.

OPENING OF MY SECOND ETSY SHOP! - FOLKSTROKESUPPLIES

It's being almost one year I am on Etsy at folkstroke.etsy.com offering appliques, trims, Warli paintings & henna art.

Since last many days I was planning to open a supplies shop as I have many stuff waiting to be used. I have an addiction for beads and sequins and can not stop myself from buying an eye catching craft supply which is not in my buying list. I just go on collecting beautiful treasures and look at them to find an inspiration for my new applique. This has resulted in overflowing of my studio space so I decided to open a small branch of Folk Stroke to share my supply boxes with the craft world [ and handover to my husband the 80% of his space I use to keep my goodies. ;-) ]

One's destash can be a treasure for other! I will be helping you find new and destash craft supplies, offer excess stock of seed beads, sequins, purl etc for your creative needs.

Inspiration

An artist can get inspiration from anywhere and everywhere. Sometimes it is 2 am late night or even under shower (yes it happens with me quite often!)

Nowadays, I am into a mood of creating appliques. I think the Spring colors are inspiring me! This is the birth story of my recently listed Multicolor Rhinestone Applique Medallion Spring Flower in my Etsy shop.

One fine morning last week I was reading our local newspaper and enjoying a cup of tea with my husband. I saw an advertisement from a local jewelry shop with image of a beautiful stud earring.

The stone colors were so beautiful and the design was very attractive. I suddenly rushed to get my rhinestone box. My husband was first surprised but then he knew that as usual I had the 'creative attack'.

I opened the box and arranged few clear and colored rhinestones and how amazing it was looking!

I started working on it.

Central clear rhinestone surrouded by small sizes similar crystals.

Rough purl work in golden color.

Antique gold sequin work started.

Good Monday!

For last 15 days I was not well, suffered from bronchitis and breathlessness. Still the weakness is holding me back from working in my home studio. I still have not resumed my full activities and many things are still pending. I managed to ship my pending orders and also received few custom orders from my Etsy shop. I should thank my valued buyers as they allowed me to recover and then ship their packages. I missed my dear dear friend from Springfield. She never stopped mailing me, cared and prayed for me.

The most important person in my life was there for me throughout! My darling husband! I also missed and still am missing my daughter.....

It's now time to move on. I lost important 15 days. I had planned for Spring sale in my Etsy shop which I started today. I have taken break from Ebay at present. Just listed 2 items.

I will now concentrate on my Etsy shop.
